Please join us for an evening of music and comradery in support of our Women Veterans in need. Bring
your picnic, lawn chairs or blankets and relax under the historic oaks while enjoying these featured entertainers, Company Swing Featuring Anne Coombs, Kim Nelson, and The Moon and You Band.
Bask under the mid-summer Strawberry Moon with friends and family at one of the oldest historic homes in Asheville.

Here's the line up for the evening's entertainment:

Kim Nelson: One of our very own board members for the past 2 years. Kim is also a writer and has published her own novel called "Stitched" a historical fiction novel of love and immigration. Kim is a part time vocalist and keyboard player for the past 45 years.

Moon and You Band: Husband/Wife Folk Duo. Melissa Hyman plays cello and her husband, Ryan Futsenburg plays guitar and banjo. They joined forces in 2011 together they form a sound that is warm and inviting atmospheric and playful

Company Swing featuring Anne Coombs: A mix of vintage charm and modern flare company swing brings a fresh and dynamic approach to this all female centric swing, funk,jazz and blues band. Members include: Karen Conner(Vocalist), Robin Borthwich(Drums), Kim Butler(Base), Anne Coombs(Guitar), and Linda Shew Wolf(Alto sax). 

Anne Coombs: Not only does she play guitar in the band Company Swing she is also a very versatile guitarist and songwriter whose musical journey transcends genres and boundaries. Her songs often reflect personal experiences and social themes layered with intricate work that captivates her audience. 

Aura Home Women Vets is a non-profit 501(C)3 organization serving women veterans in 9 WNC
counties, who are needing assistance with housing, homeless prevention, and Veteran Affairs benefits
navigation.
