From the North Carolina Housing Coalition's Weekly Policy Highlights: NC Attorney General Jeff Jackson announced this week that he is suing the Corporation for National and Community Service for terminating more than 50 National Civilian Community Corps members doing recovery work in Western NC. More than 20 other states and the District of Columbia have also sued the Corporation for National and Community Service.

Thank you for supporting Aura Home Women Vets as we all continue to recover from the aftermath of a historical storm .

Hurricane Helene brought devastation to much of Western North Carolina, and Aura Home Women Vets was not spared.

Here's an update on the Felicia Reeves Home in Hendersonville. All of Meadowbrook Terrace had extensive flooding, and our building was not spared.

Oh, you're a Veteran? But, you don't LOOK like a veteran. What does a Veteran look like ? Women have served in varying roles in the US Military since the Revolutionary War, but not officially recognized until 1948. Over 3 million women have served, and today make up approximately 18% of the Active Duty military.
